Current Oregon Law. ORS 90.680 is the statute governing the on-site sale of homes in a manufactured housing community. It previously contained no limitations on landlords who required, as a condition of tenancy, that residents selling their homes must enter into a consignment agreement with the landlord. That will change on January 1, 2016.
New Oregon Law. No. 4 above has been stricken,2 and the following rules (found at ORS 90.675(14)(d) and (e) and (15) of HB 3016,) will apply. On January 1, 2016, if the landlord follows these new laws, the tax collector and Department of Revenue (collectively "tax collector") will be required to cancel unpaid taxes in the following additional circumstances:

Gen Y's are generally defined as the population born between 1985 and 2005. Beyond their stereotypical traits of entitlement, narcissism and wanting everything on demand, Gen Y's are creating a reputation for themselves as being civic minded with a strong sense of community. They prefer to work in teams of people to accomplish bigger missions and they care about meaningful work.
This morning MHCO and several other landlords filed a lawsuit against the City of Portland to declare invalid a portion of the Renter Protection" Ordinance which requires property owners to afford tenants a minimum 90 day notice for rent increases of more than 5%.
If I am a licensed real estate agent, can I sell manufactured homes?
Update: Last week the MHCO Board decided unanimously to make a major contribution to "Say No To Rent Control". This coalition will be working to overturn the new Portland City Code. The MHCO Board believes that any trespassing on landlord's ability to raise raent needs to be strongly rebuked.
The key is to recognize that a manufactured home community is not just a business enterprise; it is also a small town. The residents expect you to be, from time to time, something of a mayor, judge, law enforcer, mediator and diplomat - as well as bill collector and manager of buildings and grounds.
